Custom Foot Orthotics are removable devices worn inside shoes and made from from a 3-dimensional (3-D) image (or cast) of your foot. Custom foot orthotics can help to support, align, prevent, and/or accommodate foot abnormalities and improve how the foot functions.
A full biomechanical assessment and gait analysis are required to examine your feet and to design your custom foot orthotics. Then, both feet will be casted with plaster or scanned with 3D foot scanner to capture a 3D volumetric impression of your feet. This will ensure the orthotics will be a precise fit for the maximum support. Orthotics are available in various designs and finishes to accommodate individual need for footwear. Our chiropodist will lead you through every detail of your new pair of custom orthotics and answer any questions you may have.
